A beautiful process of slowing down and building just one frame, stuck in time. “Coal burg” is a visual commentary on our hope for new technology solving a fossil energy crisis. This lump of coal was held up in the Australian Parliament by our now Prime Minister. It has been transitioned into an iceberg, representing not only hydrogen as a possible solution, but the current dependence on coal to power it’s creation.
Please note that the main image here is the digital file that was used to print this piece. It is normal for RISO inks to be hard to represent on screen so some colours may different in the print itself.
